Zavattarello (Pv) - News: Sabato 18 aprile 2015 inaugurazione di "Due sguardi su Baku" - Saturday 18th April 2015, opening of "Two glimpses on Baku"

Venticinque fotografie scattate a Baku, capitale dell'Azerbaijan, a marzo 2014. Immagini che l'autore Francesco Bruciamonti ha scelto per raccontare due aspetti della società azera. Da una parte la celebrazione del Novruz, la tradizionale festività che celebra la primavera e la rinascita. Dall'altro, la tragedia degli aborti selettivi, pratica ancora oggi molto diffusa nel Paese caucasico.
Su questo secondo tema, la mostra propone un approfondimento esponendo il servizio realizzato dalla giornalista Nicoletta Pisanu per il numero di luglio 2014 della rivista "Il Reportage", vincitore del premio giornalistico nazionale Ucsi - Targa Athesis.

Artists presentation and refreshment.

25 photographs taken in Baku, capital city of Azerbaijan, in March 2014. Images chosen by the author Francesco Bruciamonti to tell two aspects of the Azeri society. On one hand, the celebration of Novruz, the traditional festivity celebrating spring and rebirth. On the other hand, the tragedy of selective abortion, still today widespread.
On this second topic, the exhibition offers a deepening displaying the report realised by the journalist Nicoletta Pisanu for the July 2014 issue of the magasine "Il Reportage", winner of the national journalistic prize "Ucsi - Targa Athesis".

The exhibition will be open from Saturday 18th April to Sunday 2nd August 2015.
